UNIEC Unilateral Empowered Communities develops sustainable housing serving individuals and families with developmental disabilities, veterans and re-entry communities.
WHO WE SERVE
UNIEC provides independent living for individuals needing IPP development, PCP case management, Complex PTSD treatment services for residents of Santa Clara County whose intellectual or developmental disabilities cause severe impairments in their daily lives.
UNIEC’s evidence -based NRTR research and treatment of complex PTSD creates a path of acceptance of new conceptual models, learning to adapt to each social setting manifesting social empowerment for each resident.
UNIEC services are a voluntary entitlement through the “Lanterman Developemental Disabilities Act the California Civil Rights Law.”
The Lanterman’ Act dedicates regional centers to serve individuals with intellectual disabilities or similar conditions, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy.
